Frequently asked
Before you ask
How long does shipping take between the UK and Nigeria?
Air freight typically arrives within 5–10 days door-to-door. Sea freight typically takes 4–6 weeks depending on sailing schedules and clearance. We confirm the exact timeline with your quote.
Is customs clearance included in the price?
Yes. Our quotes are all-in: collection, freight, export clearance in the UK, and import clearance in Nigeria. For unusually high-value goods, Nigerian customs may occasionally require additional clearing fees — if that applies to your cargo, we tell you before you book, never after.
Do you collect from anywhere in the UK?
Yes — we collect from any address in mainland UK, or you can arrange delivery to our Norwich hub. Collection is included in door-to-door quotes.
Can you deliver outside Lagos?
Yes. We deliver to Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and addresses across all 36 Nigerian states. Delivery timelines outside major cities may add a few days.
What items can't be shipped?
Standard freight restrictions apply: hazardous materials, flammables, drugs and medicines, perishables requiring refrigeration, and undeclared high-value items. If you're unsure, ask us before booking — we'll confirm eligibility and any paperwork needed.
Do you handle recurring wholesale shipments?
Yes — this is one of our core services. We source from verified UK suppliers, consolidate at our Norwich hub, and ship on a recurring schedule so Nigerian wholesalers can restock predictably. Select "Wholesale procurement" on the quote form to get started.
Are you compliant with UK and international regulations?
Yes. SYKON GROUP LTD operates in strict alignment with UK trade regulations, international maritime law, and anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks — our documentation is designed to satisfy banks and regulators on both sides of the corridor.
